Miamelo

Take a photo of your plate.
Miamelo does the rest.

The app recognizes what's on your plate, estimates the amounts and works out calories and macros from official nutrition tables.

One-week free trial. iPhone, iOS 17 or later.

Three moments

Made for the days when you don't have time

Miamelo is most useful at the moments when nobody feels like typing anything.

Lunch break

A store-bought product

Scan the barcode: the product's values appear right away, and it's free, with no limit and no subscription. For an unknown product, Miamelo+ can read its details from the link to its page.

At the restaurant

A dish you didn't cook

One photo is enough. Miamelo separates the foods, names them and estimates the amount of each. On iPhone Pro, it even measures the real size of the plate.

Sunday lunch

The family meal

A day above your target shows up as information, not as a failure. The app will never ask you to make up for it the next day.

In three steps

Snap, adjust, done

1

Aim at the plate

The photo takes itself as soon as the framing is right, so you don't shake when pressing. You can also take it yourself.

2

Adjust if needed

Change an amount with a wheel, in grams, spoons or slices. Calories are recalculated instantly.

3

Add it to your log

No confirmation screen. The meal is saved and you move on.

Where the numbers come from

Numbers that aren't pulled out of thin air

The AI only recognizes the foods and estimates the amounts. Calories and macros are read from official nutrition tables, or from the product's label for packaged items.

Your targets

A calorie target that fits your body

Your calorie target is calculated from your profile, then refined with what your iPhone already measures: your energy expenditure, your steps, your sleep, and your weigh-ins over the weeks.

For women who want it, the menstrual cycle read from Apple Health also feeds into the analyses. Luteal-phase cravings have a cause, and the app takes it into account.

Also in the app

Between meals

The pantry

Log your groceries and their use-by dates. The app warns you the day before and suggests recipes with what needs to go first.

The weekly review

Averages, trends, and what keeps coming back: a symptom that always shows up after the same kind of meal is visible over a week, not over a day. Exportable as a PDF.

Apple Health, both ways

Miamelo reads your weight, your energy expenditure and your sleep, and can write your meals to Health if you turn it on. Nothing leaves without your consent.

Pricing

What's free, and what isn't

Part of the app is free. AI analyses, the weekly review and anti-waste recipes are part of Miamelo+.

Your data

Your health profile only leaves if you decide so

Conditions, diets, symptoms, cycle: this information is only attached to an analysis if you agreed to it, and you can withdraw that agreement with a switch. Without it, the app works, with less personalized analyses.

Your photos and entries are only used for you: they train no artificial intelligence. Your log stays on your iPhone and in your private iCloud, not on our servers: the privacy policy explains it line by line.

Questions

What people ask us

Is it accurate?

Accurate enough to follow a trend, not for a prescription. Food recognition is good. The amount estimate remains an estimate, which is why it can be corrected in two seconds. Calories come from official tables.

What can I do without paying?

Scan products by barcode and their use-by dates with no limit, log them in your journal, track hydration, symptoms and weight, manage your pantry with use-by alerts, and browse the recipe catalog. Photo analyses and the weekly review require the subscription.

Does my data go anywhere?

Your log stays on your iPhone, backed up to your private iCloud. An analysis sends the photo and, if you allowed it, your health profile, for the time it takes to process it. Nothing is used to train an artificial intelligence. No account to create.

Does the app speak my language?

English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Norwegian, Swedish, Portuguese and Danish, for the interface, the analyses and the recipe catalog. The app follows your iPhone's language.

How do I delete everything?

Delete the app and its iCloud backup. There is no account and no password, so nothing to close elsewhere and nothing left with us.

Does Miamelo replace a professional?

No. The links the app suggests between meals, symptoms and cycle are leads to check with a doctor or a dietitian.

Try it on your next meal

Barcode scanning is free from the moment you install. Everything else can be tried for a week, with no commitment.
